Appearance: Kalla has long, dark brown hair and light brown eyes with soft, gold flecks that make her eyes seem to glow. She has long eyelashes that accentuate her eyes, and make them seem larger than they are. She appears to be younger than her real age, and she enjoys flaunting the fact to her Weyrleader, and anyone else that will listen.
Personality: Kalla is kind, and caring, but like most Weyrwomen, she has a very, very short temper. Growing up, Kalla was a hothead, and got herself into more trouble than most considered her worth. Kalla’s head cooled a bit after she Impressed her beautiful Vallenth, however she still has her moments when she snaps at someone, although she tries to keep her temper in check, so as not to frighten anyone. She has immense power through her anger, and is able to force others to do her will, which in all honesty terrifies Kalla.

History: Kalla was born in the Northern Continent, in Ruatha Hold. Many a great Weyrwoman had been born there, according to the Black rider that had Selected her as a candidate. She was the Lord and Lady holders daughter, and her father almost fought the Black rider to keep Kalla, but she told his Tolorth to come back for her later in the night. When he did, Kalla snuck from her Hold and left with Tolorth and J’han.
Kalla’s father tried to force her into marriage with a man that beat her. Her father refused to believe his daughters claims, and he even tried to lock her in her rooms when she was no older than fifteen until she agreed to marry the man that beat her. When J’han came to the hold, she readily agreed to go with him although her father didn’t, as he was one of the many that hated dragon riders. Tolorth had sensed Kalla’s presence, and had flown there to find her. He spoke with her, and she loved the fact that she could hear him and speak with him. Growing up, Kalla had no friends, so hearing a dragon that promised her her own Queen made her jump at the chance. Quite literally, at that.
When J’han and Tolorth came back that night, Kalla jumped from her window into J’han’s arms before they took off between to her new home.

Appearance: Vallenth is larger than most queens, and a deeper, more beautiful shade of gold. Her wings almost seem to shimmer when she stretches them out, and she’s always meticulously clean.

Personality: Vallenth is very meticulous about being clean. When she isn’t clutching, or watching over her eggs, she’s always sunning herself or making Kalla and her fire-lizards oil her. Vallenth is very protective of Kalla, and gets upset when she can’t fly Kalla somewhere.
