The Dining Cavern is a lively place during the evening meals. The Weyr Harper plays songs and music with some of the younger weyrfolk, putting on performances for the Weyr's entertainment. There is a raised dais in the back of the Cavern that holds a table for the Weyrleader, Weyrwoman, and the Wingleaders, as well as any guest they may invite to sit with them. The Dining Cavern is located next to the Kitchens, and leads out into the Weyrbowl. The path to the Lower Caverns is between the Kitchen and the back of the Dining Cavern.

The Infirmary is large enough to accommodate several hundred weyrfolk in case of a sickness. The Masterhealer, along with a few apprentices and Journeyman healers help to cure sickness, mend broken bones, and heal injuries. They also help Dragons should they get hurt or Thread-scored, although the Infirmary is no where near large enough to accommodate a dragon.

This is where the Dragonriders and their dragons stay. The Queens weyrs are typically larger, due to the size of the queen dragons, and the Weyrleaders quarters are even larger, as they must accommodate not only the Weyrleaders bronze, but the Weyrwoman's Queen dragon as well. The other weyrwomen's rooms are close to the Weyrleaders Quarters.

This is where the Gold, Copper, or Violet dragons will come to lay their clutch. The sands are extremely warm, and uncomfortable to walk on without thick wherry-hide boots. The sands keep the eggs warm if the Queen or other egg-laying dragons need to leave for a short time to either bathe or eat, although Queen's rarely ever leave their eggs. A bronze, the one that flew the Queen, normally brings her food to keep her healthy for the hatching. The Violet and Copper dragons aren't so cautious, and will leave the Hatching Grounds to bathe and eat should they need to.

The Candidate Barracks are where the Searched candidates stay until the hatching is over. There is a closet just inside the room filled with white candidate robes that all candidates wear while they're on the hatching grounds. While it's true that not all candidates Impress a dragon, there are always several candidates on the hatching grounds so the dragonet has plenty of choices. For the Queen egg, however, there is always at least five to seven girls. The same precaution is forced with the Copper, and Violet eggs.

The Harper Hall is located in the Northern Continent, although unlike the other halls, the Harper Hall still believes in the need of Dragons and their Riders. The Harper Hall is where the Harpers are trained from the time they're young to teach Holds, halls, and the Weyr's children about Pern's history, and at the same time they try to spread the love of the Dragonriders.
